1. LG to launch a budget smartphone with triple rear cameras - While Chinese brands Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO have taken the Indian market by storm, Korean giant LG has remained rather quiet in the country, even as compatriot Samsung launched a new strategy with its Galaxy M series. Now, however, 91mobiles has learned from reliable sources that LG plans to soon launch a new smartphone for the Indian market. This smartphone will be part of a new India-centric series the company is cooking up. Moreover, the upcoming LG smartphone will be sold only online in India.
2. Redmi Note 6 Pro 6GB RAM - Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 6 Pro back in November 2018. The Chinese-vendor slashed the pricing of the 4GB RAM variant back in March, and the same is currently selling at Rs 11,999. Now, the 6GB RAM option has received a permanent price cut of Rs 2,000 too, bringing down the latest pricing to Rs 13,999 on Flipkart and Mi.com. The company is also offering Rs 2,400 Jio cashback, up to 6TB complimentary 4G data, no-cost EMI, and exchange discount on its own website. With the new pricing, the Redmi Note 6 Pro 6GB RAM model directly competes with the Realme 3 Pro.
3. Apple 2019 iPhones’ cases with square camera housing leaked - Believe it or not, Apple’s upcoming premium iPhone models are likely to have a triple camera setup on the back. There have been several reports to that effect, with several CAD-based renders giving us a look at what the upcoming phones will look like. Now alleged case renders of iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max, and iPhone XR 2019 have now surfaced online via two separate sources. These cases show a design that is pretty much in line what the leaks and renders showed in the past.
4. Xiaomi in-display selfie camera tech shown off on a prototype Mi 9 - In the quest for the ultimate full-screen smartphone, we’ve seen many interesting concepts the previous year. However, it seems the next big breakthrough is already upon us as Xiaomi has demonstrated an on-screen camera smartphone. This comes after OPPO also officially gave a peek of its own on-screen camera implementation today via its official Twitter handle. Xiaomi’s short demo was posted by co-founder Lin Bin on Weibo, who also previously showed off the company’s foldable prototype model.
5. New iPhone XR 2 - According to the speculations, the upcoming lineup will pretty much resemble the previously launched iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR except for the triple rear camera set up at the back.
